When you think red dot sights, you probably don’t assume you’re going to be throwing lead past 150 yards accurately with one. The reasoning behind this notion is that most red dot sights feature larger MOA dots meant for quick target engagements and close distances. Those larger dots end up covering most if not all of your target at distance and we all know that you can’t shoot what you can’t see right?
What if you took a red dot and threw a small 1 MOA dot in it? That’s exactly what Trijicon did with their RM09 Ruggedized Miniature Reflex sight (RMR). They took their bombproof mini red dot and equipped it with a smaller dot and made it the ultimate lightweight AR15 optic.
