SureFire is one of those brands you hear a lot about from various areas where quality illumination is needed. Their flashlights are used for a lot of different activities, from law enforcement and military operations to home security and camping. The quality of their lights has been trusted by professionals for years because they provide bright, clear light without hot spots or rings. This means you get a nice, tight and powerful beam. No power is wasted. You get a lot of light without sacrificing battery power.
On of the most durable and trusted SureFire Flashlights is the SureFire G2X Tactical Single-Output LED 200 Lumens Flashlights. As the name implies, this is a flashlight designed for and employed by tactical operators. This is fitting, as SureFire largely grew to prominence because of their assistance to the Los Angeles Police Department’s SWAT Team during the Olympics back in 1984. SureFire has continued to produce some of the most durable and high performing lights in the world, including the G2X.
But just because it’s an ultra durable flashlight that police officers and soldier love that doesn’t mean it won’t be an outstanding choice for your camping or outdoors activities too! There are actually a number of reason the G2X is perfect for families. First, the durability I’ve already mentioned makes it essentially kid-proof. I had a cheap little flashlight a few years back that I allowed a cousin to use for “just a minute.” I found it in the middle of the yard the next day utterly destroyed. I’m not actually sure how the little guy could have done this much damage to a flashlight, but no doubt it became a baseball bat, sword handle or some other imaginative implement within seconds of me handing it over. I didn’t bemoan the price of the flashlight (like I said, it was cheap), but I was on a trip and couldn’t get another one and was forced to borrow flashlights for the rest of the trip.
This wouldn’t have happened if I had a SureFire G2X. The Nitrolon body is insanely tough while still being lightweight. It won’t be affected by abrasions or corrosion like lesser flashlights (kids love to drop things in wet grass), and the anodized aluminum bezel is just as tough as the body. As it’s intended for self defense and tactical purposes you can bet it will hold up to quite a bit of shock.
The next nice feature is fundamental for any flashlight. And that’s brightness. The G2X provides 200 lumens of light. That’s an awful lot, and will give you more than enough light for almost any situation. With kids around, one of the reasons I use my flashlight a lot is to calm their fears. The dark woods can be a scary place, and I want to put fears to rest with the flick of a switch. The bright light will also enable you to do what needs to be done, so if you’re in charge of fireworks this Fourth of July it’ll help you see the fuse for a quick and safe show.
It’s not just the amount of light that separates the G2X though; it’s also the efficiency. This SureFire Flashlight doesn’t waste any light by employing an LED light bulb and a precision reflector to aim all the light in the correct direction. SureFire is known for the tightness of their flashlight beams. When no light is wasted you can be sure you’ll see further and clearer. With all this efficiency you’ll enjoy 200 lumens for about 2.5 hours. As it runs on easy-to-find and carry 123A Lithium batteries you’ll light for a good long time.
A great flashlight can be used for a wide variety of activities, and the SureFire G2X Tactical Flashlight is certainly qualifies as a great flashlight. Use yours this Fourth of July and celebrate America with plenty of light!

I WOULD PURCHASE THIS IF IT ALSO HAD A RAIL SYSTEM SO i COULD ADD OTHER LIGHTS, OR A LASER TARGETING LIGHT.
Ok what is new Surefire has been making replacement forearms with lights for year for both Remington and Mossberg, problem is the cost low in being 300.00. You can get a replacement forearm with a rail and attach a 1 inch mount with a tac light a do the same thing. I set up 3 shotguns for what one would cost if I did a surefire replacement forearm.
