We only saw a few knife companies at SHOT Show this year, but you can be sure we took a look at SOG. They’re one of my favorite knife brands, and that’s not a big surprise since they won this year’s Brilliance Award for Knife Brand of the Year! That award was determined by you guys, so you clearly know your stuff.
But I don’t think SOG is going to rest on their laurels. They launched some nice new knives at SHOT Show last week, including the Hunts Point Knives! You can see them in action above, and without a doubt they have a fantastic look and feel. There are a couple different models, some with a boning style blade and others with a skinning style blade. On one set the handle is glass reinforced for strength and a good grip, and it comes with a leather sheath. So you’ll get a fair amount from one of these knives.
There’s also another set that’s nearly identical, except there’s a rosewood handle. I actually prefer the wood handle. The look is classic and you still get the same fantastic blade.
If you’re looking for a quality hunting knife, it’d be a mistake to not check out SOG. They’ve proven themselves time and again with their great designs and quality construction.

I WOULD PURCHASE THIS IF IT ALSO HAD A RAIL SYSTEM SO i COULD ADD OTHER LIGHTS, OR A LASER TARGETING LIGHT.
Ok what is new Surefire has been making replacement forearms with lights for year for both Remington and Mossberg, problem is the cost low in being 300.00. You can get a replacement forearm with a rail and attach a 1 inch mount with a tac light a do the same thing. I set up 3 shotguns for what one would cost if I did a surefire replacement forearm.
