Jansen Jones was born in the nations heart-land and grew up hunting and fishing with his father. After college Jansen moved to Georgia for graduate school where he fell in love with competitive shooting. He competes in the 3 Gun Nation Pro Series and attends fifteen national championship level shooting events each year. His list of accompaniments are many, but one of his proudest moments came when a day was named in his honor in Cherokee County, Georgia after taking a Gold Medal in the 2013 Pan American Shotgun Championships. Jansen resides in the greater Atlanta area.
