    As promised, we have a full gallery of SHOT Show Media Day Photos! I know each of you is going to have your favorite pic, but mine has to be of the Gatling Gun! How cool is that gun?  And you know someone put a lot of love into that gun over the years because it’s in great shape.

    The KRISS .45 ACP Submachine Gun is also pretty sweet, and it looks like Steve had a lot of fun shooting it.  The Steyr SSG .09 also looks like an amazing gun, which it should be, as it’s a standard issue sniper rifle for the Austrian Army.  No doubt there was a lot of spent brass and everyone had fun.  I know Steve was using a Leupold Scope on at least on of the rifles at the range yesterday, but which rifle scope would you want for each of the different guns?

  • What to Expect from SHOT Show Day 1!

    SHOT Show is upon us.  As each day is going to have a TON of great new products and info directly from manufacturers, I want to give you a special sneak preview of who we’ll be talking to today.

    First up, we’ll be talking to Bushnell.  As they make such a wide variety of awesome products, it’s tough to say what Bushnell has in store for us.  From their riflescopes and binoculars to their night vision and trail cameras, Bushnell has always impressed us with the quality of their hunting, shooting and sporting gear.  No doubt they’ll be bringing their ‘A’ game this year.

    We’ll also be talking to Uncle Mike’s, who have a great selection of weapon accessories, so I’m betting we’ll see either an amazing new holster, pouch or belt!

    Our afternoon is going to start off busy, as we’ll be talking to Leupold, Vortex and Safariland.  But we’re not stopping there, because our day will continue with Surefire, FOBUS, ATN and Burris!  Check out each brand’s page on OpticsPlanet to see some of the great products they already offer, and feel free to prognosticate in the comments below about what new gear they’ll be presenting this year!

    SHOT Show Media Day yesterday was a big success, and we’re going to have a post with some pictures and info about the new guns and optics that we checked out, but as today is the first official day of SHOT Show, the really cool stuff is still coming.  Alessandro is once again going to be tweeting LIVE from the floor of SHOT Show, so if you want to hear about a new product as soon as he sees it, this is the place to be.

    We got back from the Boulder City Pistol and Rifle Range a few hours ago and it sure was a blast! Even though we don’t carry firearms it’s great to get out there and get our hands on some of the new models that will be hitting the market in 2012. And frankly, who doesn’t love spending a day burning ammo?

  • SHOT Show Video Preview #3

    As promised, here we have our Final SHOT Show Video Preview.  This time we spoke a little with two of our main Product Intelligence Experts: Steve Ledin and Trevor Bending.

    Steve has been going to SHOT Show for years, and he’s never been one to hold back on his opinions, so be prepared as he takes you through a few of the things he’s most looking forward to at this year’s show.

    Though he’s a huge fan of all things firearms, the other Product Intelligence Specialist featured in this video, Trevor, has not been to SHOT Show before.  As both Trevor and Steve point out, SHOT Shot is kinda like the Super Bowl for hunting, shooting and outdoors enthusiasts, so they’re really excited to see all the new gear.
